Departure for Dubai

Departure for Dubai

El Shaarawy
The team leave for their winter training camp from Malpensa airport in Milan tomorrow. Here’s the schedule and the players travelling.

Tomorrow at 14.50, the Rossoneri will take off from Malpensa in a Fly Emirates flight on their way to Dubai. The team will have double training sessions in the city on both Friday 30 December and Saturday 31, morning and afternoon.

Some of the team have been making moves already. Gattuso started training at the Milanello sports centre yesterday and both Nocerino and Bonera are already in Dubai waiting for the team. The Brazilian contingent will fly to the Emirates direct from San Paolo on a nother Fly Emirates flight. On Sunday the team will have their morning free and will train in the afternoon. Double training sessions are planned for 1 and 2 December and then on 4 December a light session in the morning.

In the evening of 4 January at 19.30 local time (16.30 Italian time), the team will play a friendly against Paris Saint Germain in the Emirates Challenge.

Only three players will not make the trip: Antonio Cassano, Mathieu Flamini and Mario Yepes.

Here are the 29 players making the trip:
Goalkeepers - Abbiati, Amelia, Roma, Piscitelli.
Defenders - De Sciglio, Nesta, Thiago Silva, Abate, Bonera, Zambrotta, Antonini, Mexes, Taiwo, Rodrigo Ely.
Midfielders - Valoti, Nocerino, Aquilani, Ambrosini, Carmona, Gattuso, Van Bommel, Emanuelson, Seedorf, Boateng.
Forwards - Pato, Ibrahimovic, Inzaghi, Robinho, El Shaarawy.

Dubai, the kids are on their way. Besides the 24 players in the first team, including El Shaarawy, 5 members of the Milan Youth sector will also be travelling to the Emirates. A sign of the good work being done by the technical staff as well as the club in general.

Last year Massimiliano Allegri gave both Rodney Strasser and Alexander Merkel their debuts in the first team. Both players are now plying their trade in Italy’s top division; Strasser at Lecce and Merkel at Genoa.

This season, the coach has also placed his faith in Simone Andrea Ganz and Gianmario Comi in friendlies. The first of those players went on to play in the Champions League. The second has already scored 13 goals for the Primavera side.

For the Champions League match in Prague, Mattia De Sciglio started the game while Bryan Cristante came on as a substitute at the end of the game. Kingsley Boateng, unfortunately for him, was injured and could play no part in the game.

More good news has come for these players with the call up to take part in the winter training camp in Dubai. Five members of the youth set up are making the trip: Riccardo Pisctelli, Rodrigo Ely, Adria Carmona, Mattia De Sciglio and Mattia Valoti who is receiving praise from everyone at the Milanello sports centre.

The kids seem to be doing alright to say the very least. The youth team squads are playing winning football and are more than competitive. The future is now for the team and the prospective looks positive. Keep on working hard guys./acmilan.com/
