Allegri and Silva in the Press Conference ahead of Milan vs. Bate match

Allegri and Silva in the Press Conference ahead of Milan vs. Bate match

Massimiliano Allegri
Here’s what Massimiliano Allegri had to say to the press on the eve of Milan-Bate in Champions League:

"“First place in the group, besides being a source of pride, it would be mean that in the last 16, we’d play a second placed team. To get that first place, we’ll start with a win tomorrow and then we’ll think about the other games. We have to move one game at a time and we definitely want to win tomorrow.

The team got the game wrong in Turin. Saturday was a good game in terms of intensity, quality and technique and also in terms of willingness while pushing forward and most importantly while defending. It might be the game that gets our season back on track. It was a good win and now we have a fundamental month ahead of us both for the Champions League and Serie A.

Robinho is an extraordinary player with a way of playing that pulls the team forward. Aquilani is a class player. He had a good game on Saturday but he still has to improve because he has more than he showed on Saturday. Nocerino did well too, the whole team did. Now we just need to string some positive results together.

Nocerino did better because he always plays on the left so that was no surprise for me. As far as the formation goes, I’ll think about that today. It’s been two days that Seedorf hasn’t trained with the team. Thiago Silva didn’t train yesterday. Van Bommel is okay but I don’t think Ambrosini will be available. Abbiati is the only one sure of starting.

Thiago Silva
Here’s what Thiago Silva had to say to the press on the eve of Milan-Bate in Champions League:

“It’s fantastic playing in Italian football. In Brazil I used to watch Serie A and La Liga. I like the way the game is played in Italy. There have always been great defenders and I’m always working on improving my game. I can see a very competitive league this year with all teams defending very well with their back lines well organised. I can see it’s very competitive and it always will be.

I’m getting back: I trained apart yesterday and today I feel better. We’ll see what happens in the afternoon. I’m available to play as a midfielder if need be. I played there from when I was 7 to when I was 15. I wouldn’t want it to be my permanent position but if need be I’ll do it. Robinho is an important player, both while defending and attacking because he helps the team a lot. He’s back now and I hope he plays a good game tomorrow. He’s a great professional.

We have a great team, a great coach and lots of important people working around the team. We did well against Palermo and we’ll do the same tomorrow.
I’m happy if people speak well of me. It’s not easy to come to a big club and make an immediate impact. This year will be different for me because I have more confidence so it’ll go even better.

I know what a quality player Mexes is. He’s a player who gives a lot to the team. He has to be careful with his knee but when he comes back, he’ll make a big impact.

Casemiro I saw play at the under 20 world cup. He’s a quality player with great technique and if he joins us I’ll be happy.”
