Serie A will kick off on Friday with Milan against Lazio after an agreement over the collective bargaining contract was reached.A dispute over the deal, between the League and the AIC – Italian Players’ Association, saw Week 1 postponed due to strike action.
After numerous rounds of talks, an interim agreement which expires in June 2012 was signed by Lega President Maurizio Beretta and AIC chief Damiano Tommasi today.
