Ibrahimovic has been in superb form this pre-season, scoring at least one goal in each of Milan’s game and he was rated the highest at La Gazzetta dello Sport’s ratings of the Supercoppa Italiana final.
Milan signed the Swede last summer and it was certainly worth it as he played a huge role in the Scudetto success and in Saturday’s Supercup match against arch-rivals Inter Milan as he scored the equalizer.
“Zlatan Ibrahimovic is simply the world’s strongest striker,” Galliani told the Milan-based newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport. “I would not replace him with anyone else. He is a monster and he is now showing it. We had stopped winning and [now] with him we have returned to winning ways, as this is the second title.”
After the game, Ibrahimovic said that he couldn’t do anything without his teammates, and Galliani agrees.
“I do not want to give all the praise to Ibrahimovic,” Galliani continued, “because Ibrahimovic does not win the games, AC Milan do. But it is clear that our attacker has a great part in our success.”/RossoneriBlog/
